US Navy sends two destroyers to Libya

WASHINGTON: The US Navy ordered two destroyers Wednesday to Libya's coast after the American ambassador and three other nationals were killed in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi.

"Two destroyers are going to be in the vicinity of Libya but only as a precautionary measure," a senior US official said. (AFP)
